The quickest 4g over the air internet by far, Verizon LTE A guide to the fastest mobile internet available Many providers have now launched 4g over the air internet. The key behind all of this is the technology that provides this service. Many provider choose to use “cheap” solutions to provide this to their customers. Sprint and other first to the market solutions used Wimax technology which let them be the front runner in implementing and selling their service but gave them the worst technological solution. I purchased a Verizon 4G LTE usb wwan internet card on the day it was released. I have tested it and found incredible advantages to this service over Verizon’s competitors. Well Verizon only claims 4-12mbps downstream, in my field tests in the Chicago city and suburbs I found a huge discrepancy. My modem with only 2 bars of signal achieved speeds of over 30mbps downstream. This is incredible! I saw upstream speeds of over 15mbps. Nobody has the capability of coming close to these speeds. I will admit 4g LTE signal was not available in some of the more rural areas, but the card is dual band and will default over to 3G signal when 4G is unavailable. I strongly recommend anyone who works out of mobile office or frequently finds them self working remotely to purchase this product. Verizon 4G speeds are incredible and will help you improve efficiencies while out of the office. Verizon does it again waiting until they have their technology perfect before bringing it to market. |
