Windows 7 Released

Microsofts next generation operating system picks up where XP left off.

·         Extremely stable, if a program crashes, the crash is contained and the system rarely because unstable.

·         64 bit transition is becoming more smooth as more vendors update their software and drivers.

·         Many drivers are backwards compatible with Vista drivers, very few driver problems.

·         Appearance settings are similar to Vista including Aero.

·         Not bloated like its predecessor, it runs well on all hardware.

·         Easily change version from home premium to ultimate after paying the additional licensing fee.

·         Seamless integration with Exchange 2007 and Server 2008.

Pains in upgrading:

·         No direct upgrade path from XP, you must do a clean install

We are recommending that our clients upgrade to Windows 7 with their normal hardware cycle.  Business users, when buying a new computer should select Windows 7 Professional so that it can join a Domain.
